Booklet is illustrated with black and white photos from the movie and measures 6" x 9" with 15 pages of text. It appears to be part of a collection of booklets telling the stories of romantic films. Child Life Magazine January, Febrary, 1937
5 Child Life Magazine January, Febrary, 1937
Chicago Tand McNally & Company Vol. XVI, Nos. 1 & 2 soft cover Good-plus
The covers of these magazines are a delight with bright colors and a dollop of whimsey. I put them together in one offering not only because they are sequential, but because othere's a story titled Adventures In Candle Street which is a two parter and now both parts are present. The magazine is color limited inside, but somehow that still seems to charm. Readers will find poems, stories, things to make, things to do, and special features such as junior etiquette, how a 10 year opld boy helped save the lives of six people, movie town news. There's even a secton for mothers. Magazines measure 8-1/2" x 11-1/2" and have 96 and 48 pages respectively. No mailing labels. Only fault is some loosening to front cover of the Feb. issue which I repaired with non-browning, almost invisible archival tape.

6 Cinefex: The Journal of Cinematic Illusions No. 67 September 1996 (Independence Day, The Nutty Professor, Pinocchio)
Riverside, California Don Shay 1996 soft cover Very Good
Very handsome magazine, a quarterly devoted to the technology and artistry behind the movies we love. The big story in this one is terrific, as it offers many pages of text and color photographs which explain the pyrotechnics of the film, Independence Day. How they made The Nutty Professor is also fun, as is the puppetmasters of Pinocchio and even a commercial -- Nikes Eyes on the Ball ad. Magazine measures 8"x9" and has 154 pages on quality coated paper

Very nice, clean trade magazine targeted at movie theater owners. All the ads and short articles are full of info on the state of the movie experience halfway through the 1950s. The big movie of this issue was definitely Daddy Long Legs, which starred Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron based the novel by Jean Webster who wrote it in 1912. The magazine measures 9" by slightly over 12". The ads of course are for adding comfort and modernity to the movie theater. Coca Cola ad on the back cover encourages its sale in the lobby.
