Postcard Menemsha Harbor, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
1 Postcard Menemsha Harbor, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts
Berkeley, CA Mike Roberts No date Fine condition
Beautiful, unused postcard in very nice condition. It's clear that it was issued sometime from 1963 to the present, as there is a zip code under the publisher's name and 1963 is when the five digit code was introduced. At any rate, the photo is charming, The description at the top reads Menemsha Harbor where fishing and lobstering take first place. The snug harbor is home to the Vineyard's sword fishing fleet." Card's finish is a subtle sheen. It will arrive in a brand new plastic sleeve.

2 Postcard Sword and Pen Home of Abraham Lincolm (1909)
New York and Berlin International Art Publishing Company 1909 Very Good condition
This is a beautifully designed card with much use of gilt and strong graphic images with Lincoln's home centered in a frame presided over by an angel. It's very clean and nice with just a couple pinhead sized spots of wear to top edge. The card has been sent in the mail and shows a postmark from a small town in Ohio on Feb. 12, 1909 and sent to Harrison County, Ohio. The message reads, "Lincoln's Birthday. Compliments from your nephew and grandson Harry G. Byden, Jewett, Ohio. For Aunt Lydia and Grandmmother." Card will arrive in brand new plastic sleeve

Japanese Swordguard Artists (1982), Murtha, Gary C.
6 Murtha, Gary C. Japanese Swordguard Artists (1982)
Kansas City, Missouri R&M Enterprises 1982 Card cover Like New
Very clean, handsome booklet of 80 pages, pristine inside and out. I bought this from the estate of a collector who kept his books and paper with great care. This one is definitely geared to the sword collector, as the vast amount of information here is about the various schools of design and the artists themselves. At the back you will find tsuba plates and their descriptions. Booklet measures 8-1/2" x 11-1/2 and has no names or writing. Not often seen.
