Just A Few Easy Questions A Look At Federal Grand Juries (Edge City Comix, 1975)
4 Just A Few Easy Questions A Look At Federal Grand Juries (Edge City Comix, 1975)
Edge City Comix 1975 soft cover Good-plus Jackrabbit, Kate
Rarely do you see these underground comics from the 1970's, but here we have one and tightly bound and with no names or writing. The area by the spine is rubbed a little and there is some light creasing to cover corners, but the inside pages are pristine. The cover is colorful -- the comic is in black and white. It was put together with the help of the San Francisco National Lawyers Guild in an effort to educate people in the mechanics of the legal system with a radical edge. At the back of the text is an article entitled Our Constitutional Rights by Clayton Van Lydegraf from a statement read before the San Francisco Grand Jury, January-February, 1973. Measures 7"x8-1/2" and has 24 pages.

New York Central System Railroad Miniature Metal Sign and Three New York Central Postcards
5 New York Central System Railroad Miniature Metal Sign and Three New York Central Postcards
New York Audio Visual Design; William Reed Gordon Very good
This a rather unique pairing -- a miniature metal sign for New York Central System Railway that was a premium for Post cereal back in the 1950's and a color post card and two black and white cards, all showing images of New York Central trains. The color one shows the famous New York Central 5396, a steam locomotive. The black and white cards show New York Central #5271 along the Hudson River and the New York Central Lines #4725. All cards are unused and in excellent condition. The sign is also very good.

10 Rep.John Seiberling Campaign Collectibles 1970
Akron, Ohio Seiberling In Congress Committee 1970 Paper and Metal pin All items nice
This is a grouping of John Seiberling's campaign collectibles. Seiberling, a Democrat, ran for Congress against Ayres in 1970 and not won and, but also stayed on for decades. He was also involved in the Akron Metropolitan Park System and saved Brandywine Falls from the encroachment of the Interstate highways The one that says "The Democrat who can beat Ayers" is a brochure, the other card has two sides, the bumper sticker still has its backing, and a 3" diameter button still has its pin. The white section at the bottom looks like it's a loss of p[int, but it's actually a tiny insignia for AFL-CIO. There will be moe Seiberling this week.

Westinghouse Engineer Magazine November 1945 (TV Broadcasting from the Statosphere)
15 Westinghouse Engineer Magazine November 1945 (TV Broadcasting from the Statosphere)
Westinghouse Electric 1945 Volume Five, Number Six soft cover Very good
Very handsome cover design for this trade journal produced by Westinghouse. The back cover shows an image of Skyhooks for Television, a system of high-flying planes to act as television broadcasting and repeater stations, called Stratovision. The first article in the magazine tells the whole story. Other articles cover nuclear engineering, the electric torpedo, a simple single sideband carrier system, a moisture-proof insulation called Fosterite, 1000-KVA powered sleds, and the control of electric furnaces. There's also a section on new technology. Magazine is clean and bright with just a small bit of wear to the top of spine and measures 9"x10-1/2". It's one of those magazines which start at the next page number following the last issue, so I did the math and came up with 31 pages.

17 Barnett, A Doak et al The China Quarterly October- December, 1966
London Rodrick MacFarquhar England No. 28 soft cover Good condition
This is a lone issue of the The China Quarterly. I can't even recall when or where I got it. It's as thick as a book and has six articles including an eyewitness report of The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution. The others are: Aspects of the Chinese Communist Bureaucracy; The Hsia Fang System -- Marxism and Modernisation; The Guerilla Movement in Northwest China (Part I); Mao Tse-tung as Historian; and Contracts in China Revisited. The magazine is clean and tightly bound with no names or writing. There's a small name stamped on the top front corner of the front cover and another stamp on the top edge, but it's so tiny and light I can't read it. There is a nice fold-out map and a printed one beside it. The magazine measures 6-1/4" x 9-1/2" and has 195 pages. (Asia Box I)

18 Brewster, Carly (editor) Views of Paris and Its Festivals: Works of Banque de France and Musee Carnavalet (2010)
Washington D.C. Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System 2010 Card cover Fine condition
There's a lot of reasons to love this exhibition catalog. First of all, the text is in ENGLISH. Secondly, its an exhibition catalog replete with color photographs printed on coated paper. Then there's the fact that it's brand new and has pretty two-tone blue maps printed inside both covers. What's remarkable though is the art depicting fireworks from 1644 which had pyrotechnics for the King's Feast on Place de Palais in August, 1644 to the marriage of Napoleon I and the Archduchess Marie-Louise in 1810. The Booklet measures 8-1/4" x 10-1/2" and has 77 pages. The exhibition spanned October 11, 2010 to January 20, 2011. (Art III)
