'48 The Magazine of the Year (June, 1948), Lauterbach, Richard E,
43 Lauterbach, Richard E, '48 The Magazine of the Year (June, 1948)
New York City Walter Ross 1948 Volume 2, Number 6 Card cover Very good condition
I somehow missed this magazine named after the year 1948. But last eeek I found two of them and bough them both. They're a nice size at 5-1/4" x 7-3/4" and has 148 pages, tightly bound. What I like about it is the diversity o topics and stories. This issue offers the story of Jerusalem's Hitler, The Man Behind the Palestine Terror; a photo story in both image and word on childbirth from beginning to birth; Senator Arthur Vandenberg and the Great Temptation (to give up the Senate for the White House); pages from Arthur Murray's notebook; Tennessee Williams and a Movie Named La Terra Trema; Saul Steinberg's Art in Cincinnati and more.

Being and Time: The Emergence of Video Projection (1996), Mayer, Marc
44 Mayer, Marc Being and Time: The Emergence of Video Projection (1996)
Buffalo, New York Albright-Knox Art Gallery 1996 0914782940 / 9780914782940 First Edition Card cover Fine condition
The beautiful colors of the cover on this publication impels you to go over and have a look. I did -- and found something altogether different. It looks like a book, but it's really an exhibition catalog. It also looks like an art catalog with paintings, sculptures and other still artwork. But this is about bringing technology with its new visuals and audios along with dance, theater, literature and cinema, all of which augment fine art. The book is as new and measures 9"x 10" and has 95 pages. Artists include Willie Doherty, Gary Hill, Tony Oursler, Diana Thater, and Bill Viola. (Art -- Main Case)

Rolling Stone Magazine May, 1992 (Tom Cruise Cover), Wenner, Jann S.
51 Wenner, Jann S. Rolling Stone Magazine May, 1992 (Tom Cruise Cover)
New York Straight Arrow Publishers Inc. 1992 Issue 631 soft cover Very good condition
Very nice clean magazine with no mailing label. It's tightly bound with no creasing and is clean inside and out. Yhe only defect is a snip off the lower front corner of the front page. It's almost misleading because the next page fills in the color at first glance. The main article and photos focus on Tom Cruise, but the other interesting interview is with Noam Chomsky, "An American Radical". Among other story subjects are the Beastie Boys, Wynona Judd, Johnny Carson, and the media's running away from race issues. magazine measures 10" x 12" and has 75 pages.
