1 Gamut Magazine Cleveland Sacred Landmarks (Special Issue 1990 with Advertising)
Cleveland, Ohio Gamut Magazine, Cleveland State University 1990 Card cover Very good condition
Very nice clean magazine which also served as a program for the city pilgrimage to the beautiful churches of Cleveland which opened with a reception on Friday, Sept 7 1990 and continued until October 14. The booklet is beautiful with many photos and diagrams and retains its advertising card. Other churches not mentioned above include Bethany English Lutheran Church, The Church of the Savior, Wade Memorial Chapel, Amasa Stone Chapel, St. Stephen's, the Church of the Covenant, and St. Paul's Episcopal. Stained Glass Magazine (Three of four Issues 1998)
2 Stained Glass Magazine (Three of four Issues 1998)
Lee's Summit, Missouri Stained Glass Association of America 1998 Vol. 93, Nos. 2,3,4 soft cover Very Good
Gorgeous slick magazine that's oddly not seen that often. Glorious color photography prevails throughout and articles focus on the art itself rather than the how-to. Among the many topics are these: stained glass conservation, the architectural glass of Elizabeth Devereaux, contemporary Canadian architectural glass, the work of Leslie Perlis, Prairie stained glass, glass spheres and columns, Kolo Moser windows, the marriage of metal sculpture and leaded glass, and much more. Magazines are clean and tightly bound with just a small bit of wear to front corners of the green one (winter).

Steuben Glass Catalog and Price List 1980-1981
3 Steuben Glass Catalog and Price List 1980-1981
New York City Steuben Glass 1980 Card cover Very good condition
Steuben Glass always has beautiful items, but this one is exceptionally good. A card laid-in indicates that it's a Christmas catalogue which is why there is jewelry, presentation items, engraved items and various designers. You can check each potential gift with the price list. The catalog measures 5-3/4" x 7-1/4" and has 223 pages. The photographs are plentiful and full page in both black and white and color. In addition to the price list and the card is an unused order form. The catalog is clean and bright with no spine crease and no names or writing. The lower front corner shows a small crease and a small bit of color loss. I reglued the paper of the corner and put the catalog in the book press which got it to lie flat.

It's a small catalog measuring just 6" x 6-1/2" with 28 pages printed on quality glossy paper. Each page shows a large black and white photo of an item with description and there is also an unused envelope laid-in provided by the company.

6 The Story of Steuben Glass; Your Steuben Glass and How to Care For It; Steuben Glass Christmas, 1969
New York City Steuben Glass 1969 Card covers on all three
Three Steuben Glass booklets, all of which are pristine with the exception of some light foxing to the front and back pages only on the Christmas catalog. Otherwise everything is crisp and bright. The largest one measures 6" x 8" and has 31 pages covering the history of the company and is illustrated with beautiful pieces. The gray booklet is not as elaborate than the others and is illustrated with small drawings to augment the company's hints for keeping your collection as new. But also inside are black and white photographs that show how Steuben glass is made. The booklet measures 6" square and is in excellent condition with 21 pages. The last item is the Christmas catalog of 1969. That date is the only one stated. The catalog measures 4" x 5" and has 66 pages. Everything is pictured, some in full color.

Walls of Carrara the Moderm Structural Glass (Pittsburg Plate Glass, 1934)
8 Walls of Carrara the Moderm Structural Glass (Pittsburg Plate Glass, 1934)
Pittsburgh, Pennsylania Pittsburgh Plate Glass Company 1934 Card cover Very good condition
Nice oversized booklet about glass tile walls for bathrooms and kitchens. The top section of the cover is silver with white printing, so it's a bit hard to see the printing, but it's there and readable. Some of the ideas inside are amazingly ahead of their time, especially the baths with extra built-in storage. 1934 looked pretty good! The Carrara glass provided a nice backdrop too, especially since every page is in full color. The booklet measures 8-1/2" x 11-1/2" with 16 pages.

Glass Flowers In the Ware Collection (1946), Kredel, Fritz
15 Kredel, Fritz Glass Flowers In the Ware Collection (1946)
New York Harcourt Brace and Company 1946 Later printing (original in 1940) Hard cover Fine in fine dustjacket
I was quite pleased to find the Kredel book replete with the letter in booklet form by Mary Lee Ware accompanying it, as both pieces are complimentary, but not normally found together. The two offerings tell the story of the amazing glass flowers created by father and son artists and naturalists, Leopold and Rudolph Blaschka, who made them between 1887 and 1936 in Dresden. The entire collection was a gift to Harvard University by Mrs. Elizabeth Ware and her daughter, Mary Lee Ware, as a memorial to Dr. Charles Eliot Ware, a member of the class of 1834. The book "Glass Flowers In the Ware Collection" contains 16 color plates featuring the insect pollination series along with notes on each. Book is clean and tightly bound with an almost perfect dustjacket. An altogether lovely set.Book measuees 6" x 9" and has 58 pages.

Chuilhuly: the George R. Stroemple Collection (1997), Kuspit, Donald; Kanjo, Kathryn
16 Kuspit, Donald; Kanjo, Kathryn Chuilhuly: the George R. Stroemple Collection (1997)
Portland, Oregon Portland Art Museum 1997 Card cover Very good condition
Handsome art catalog designed to showcase the intricate and beautiful glass works made by the artist Chihuly and held as the George T. Stroemple Collection. Thoughout the catalog are many large full color photographs, as well as smaller ones showing how its done. Chihuly designs, but it takes many people to blow the glass and fire up the kiln. The result is astounding. Catalog measures 9" x 11-3/4" and has 127 pristine pages. The catalog is very clean with no names or writing and no spine crease. Only fault is a plain white sticker inside the front cover which I am afraid to disturb. SHIPS FOR $2 in U.S.

Frank Lloyd Wright's Glass Designs, Lind, Carla
17 Lind, Carla Frank Lloyd Wright's Glass Designs
San Franacisco Pomegranite Artbooks 1995 0876544685 / 9780876544686 Hard cover Very good condition
These small architectural books are gems. Each one selects a single aspect of Wright's works. This one is for glass, another I've seen (bad condition) was about fireplaces. The book is not a true miniature, but it measures just 5-1/4" square with 57 pages and many gorgeous color photographs. Despite it's size, the text is not superficial. There is a lot of solid information here. Book is also clean and without names or writing. It also has no tears or chips and is protected by a brand new mylar cover.

This is a pretty little book, perfect to be seen peaking out of a Christmas stocking. It has beautifully coated paper and color pictures throughout. Lino Taguapietra (Art Glass Catalog 1996), Sahl-Madsen, Charlotte
20 Sahl-Madsen, Charlotte Lino Taguapietra (Art Glass Catalog 1996)
Ebeltoft, Denmark The Glasmuseum 1996 8789975146 / 9788789975146 1st ed. Hard Cover Fine condition
This is a lovely exhibit catalog, top drawer in every way. It's hard cover, comes with a see-through dust jacket, includes a text available in Danish, English, and Japanese, AND every beautiful item is given full-color, full-page coverage. The catalog measures 8-1/2" square with 81 pristine pages on coated paper. The jacket shows a 1" tear to bottom back edge -- the only defect. I tried to put in in a mylar cover, but the picture on the cover promptly disappeared due to the white backing of the mylar. So instead I used a thin piece of archival tape on the back to close it. Very elegant catalog.
