6 Postcard Dubat Somalia/Italiana (Ethiopian War 1930's)
Rome, Italy V.E. Boeri circa 1930's Ediz. d'Arte Very good
Very handsome slightly oversized postcard showing a Dubat fighter. The name Dubat means white turban and was used to identify troops from Italian Somaliland. There is no date, but the Dubats were hired in great numbers by the Italians during the Ethiopian War of the 30'. Card is unused and measures 4"x6". The little black spots you see on the front of the card are not a defect -- they're birds in flight! We have several other cards from the Ethiopian War too.

7 Postcards American Museum of Natural History Series IX -- Masks
New York City The american Museum of Natural History Unknown (pre-postal code) Very good condition
Very nice clean black and white postcards showing a portion of the masks in the collection of the American Museum of Natural History. There is no date, but it's prior to the use of a two digit postal card inserted between the city and state of an address. Otherwise just a small bit of wear to a couple corners. The bottom edge of all are serrated as per design -- the remaining three edges are not.
