2 Nathan, Jean Overmeier Ohio Genealogical Society Quarterly December, 2008 (Nathan Lowe Glover, Summit County)
Columbus, Ohio Ohio Genealogical Society 2008 Volume 48, No. 4 soft cover Very good condition
This is a really nice genealogical magazine with much content. I bought a lot of them, so if you're looking for a specific issue, family, or place, let me know and I'll see if I can find it for you. The cover story of this issue is about Nathan Lowe Glover (1842-1923) who is also pictured on the cover. Glover was Summit County's Premier Music Educator. Whether you're interested in his life, or are related to him, the article is good. Other content is as follows: The Family of William H. Fyffe of Champaigne County; Ohio Roster of Society of Civil War Families; 1903 Deaths in Cincinnati with burials outside of Hamilton Co.; the Smiths of Champagne Co.; Decennial Tax Valuation, Cincinnati Real estate 1892; and Hulda Emilie (King) Richholt Harris Otterbach. Magazine measures 8-1/2" x 11".

Very nice, clean, tightly bound magazine which shows on front cover photos of Bernard Leonard Albrinck and Anna Maria Holtel of Hamilton County, Ohio. This magazine focuses in each issue on at least one Ohio family, but there are also rosters and lists to help family tree-makers. This issue has on article on the Albrinck/Holtel family of the cover; one about a man named Joe Spivey of College Corner, Ohio who was three times strung up, but managed to escape a lynching; a look at the First Presbyerian Church of Athens, Ohio and Farm life of the 20th Century in Brown County. Lists include: 1887 Deaths in Cincinnati with Ohio Burials outside Cincy; 1881 Post office and postmasters of Seneca Co.; Black immigration to Ohio 1861-63; Boxwell-Patterson Commencement of the Salem Township School; and more. The best part is an in-deopth look at old family Bibles owned by Jacob Gossett, John Forsyth, Peter Shaklee, and the Pelton Family Bible. Magazine measures 8-1/2 x 11" and has 58 pages.
