Yesterday I posted a religious book owned by a WWII soldier. Last night I bought another mystery, The Book of Common Prayer with the previous owner's name in gilt on the front cover -- Guy Maxwell Chisolm III. Inside there is an inscription "To my beloved grandson upon hs confirmation. Dec. 20, 1959 Myrtis T. Chisolm". The book measures 3-3/4" x 5-3/4" and has 611 pages with a black ribbon book mark. This is a lovely book which includes beautiful dentelles on the inside edges of the covers and gilded exterior edges of the text. (See photos). The only other clue to ownership is where I got it -- which was Cleveland, Ohio.
