We are Tess and Eric Kindig, book and ephemera sellers since 1997. Though we've have had our other website http://www.garrisonhousebooks.com/ for a long time, after all these years we are awash in a sea of paper! The problem is that collectors have a hard time finding certain types of paper ephemera on a book site -- things such as topical postcards, prints, photographs, dance cards and other bits and pieces of life's wonderful flotsam and jetsam. So the time has come to launch a new site with all the goodies that have previously been hidden, or sold only at shows or at our two booths at the Medina Antiques Mall on Rte. 18 in Medina, Ohio. We were at the mall for several years, but I decided this year that it's time to do some other things about ephemera -- especially writing and speaking.
Eric runs the store and I do the internet. He has great organizational skills, without which I would have capsized by now. He compliments my voracious buying of paper and the resultant researching, describing and photographing of it. I so love all things paper and I especially love it when I can reconnect you to your own past, be it a cherished trip, high school or college days, or your ancestry. We have made some great matches over the years, so to do that we try very hard to mention as many family names, locations, company names, anything that might serve as a key word in your search.
Browse, enjoy, and always feel free to pick up the phone and give us a call if you have questions (see data below). Also, don't worry about getting your treasure safely. Unless it ships in USPS priority packaging, every package that leaves here is wrapped in white paper, bubble-wrapped, protected by cardboard, and and either a box or corrugated on the outside. All items come in plastic.
We are members of IOBA (Independent Online Booksellers Association, The Ephemera Society of America; and Northern Ohio Bibliophilic Society (NOBS).
