Tinted Postcard Earl Carroll Vanities Showgirl (1940's)

Price: $10.95

Quantity: 1 available

Book Condition: Very good

Looks like Halloween judging by this 1940's era postcard featuring an Earl Carroll showgirl. I used to have an actual collection of this stuff (yeah, really) --programs, menus postcards etc.) from Carroll's days as a showman/producer/restauranteur who owned a rather racy L.A. nightspot (Earl Carroll's Vanities) on Sunset Blvd. known for its gorgeous performers. I knew a lot about him at the time, but all I remember now is that he died young (in his 50's) in a 1948 plane crash. The card has not been used and will arrive in a plastic sleeve. Check out the "top" on this woman -- a costume malfunction waiting to happen!
