Very nice clean booklet which tells a fascinating tale. George Whythe may not be a household name, but he was a big deal in colonial America -- first American law professor, abolitionist, noted classics scholar, Virginia judge, and the first of the seven Virginia signers of the United States Declaration of Independence. He also served as representative in the Continental Congress and at the Constitutional Convention.AND he taught and mentored to Thomas Jefferson, John Marshall, and Henry Clay. So when he turned up murdered it was no small mater. The booklet solves the case with 64 detailed pages. It measures 6"x9" and is very clean and attractive. Contains two essays, "The Murder of George Wythe" by Julian P, Boyd and "Examinations of George Wythe Swinney for Forgery and Murder" by W. Edwin Hempill.
