This issue represents post glory days for the Spur Magazine which during the Depression never flinched at hard times. It was all about the good life and so it still is here, but the format has changed and it's double billing on the masthead. The format is different too -- the size is smaller at 10"x12-1/2" and no longer shows beautiful photos of debutantes and society brides. The old theme is still there though with talk of homes in Honolulu, a New York penthouse, getting the most out of horseback riding, ski vacations, skeet shooting, thoroughbred poodles and contemporary furniture. Magazine is clean and tightly bound with no mailing label. Articles are in black and white, but there are color ads for Plymouth and Four Roses whiskey.
