Very nice magazine -- paper is crisp and clean a d pages are tightly bound. Were it not for the label on the front cover it would be just about perfect. As you can see from the cover art, WWII was definitely the main topic. There's an article on new sea tactics and an abridged novel, The White Brigade, story of underground Belgium, by Robert Goffin, boiled down to an evening's reading. But even with the war there was space for other other things including the miracles of microfilm and even The Lone Ranger! The main article though was written by novelist John Dos Passos, best known for his U.S.A. Trilogy which included The 42nd Parallel. This article is about Chicago's Colonel McCormick.
