Fascinating to see current issues reflected in a pamphlet almost 200 years old. Booklet shows foxing to edges on front and on all pages save back cover where it is foxed primarily in upper right corner. The booklet is sewn and all pages are accounted for. The yapped edge at the bottom of the cover is mostly intact, but the rest of these overhangs have either fallen off, or were clipped. Their loss does not impinge in any way on the text. The booklet was published shortly after Tallmadge delivered the speech in the U.S. Senate on February 8, 1833 in response to Mr. Hubbard of New Hampshire. A sub-treasury bill was under consideration. Beneath this information is a Shakespearian quote -- "Out, dam'd spot! Out I say!" 14 pages of dense text. Very scarce pamphlet.
