This is one of those booklets in hard cover which call out to me even if they're entrapped between two coffee table books. I always like the serious intent which inspires the author to gild the message with a hard cover binding. Hard cover denotes seriousness, or at least worthiness. So here we have it and it's lovely. There are only two minor defecst and one could disappear at the drop of an eraser. I took a picitures of the page where the reader penciled in additional true information. That leaves a small name written on front free endpaper. The text is an expansion of an address given by the author to the Scottish Society of the History of Medicine at Edinburgh in 1950. Booklet measures 6-1/4" x 9-1/4" and has 77 pages.
