This is a graphically appealing poster with three Republican candidates on the same poster running for three offices in 1916. One won and the other two lost. Charles E. Hughes lost his bid for the presidency when Woodrow Wilson won the popular vote with 600,000 votes and a squeaky win in the electoral vote. The winner was Frank B. Willis for Ohio governor who later became a senator from 1921-28. Myron T. Herrick lost his bid for the Senate, but served as an ambassador to France from 1912-14 and later from 21-29 The poster measures 14" high and 20-1/2" tall. There is one tear from the right edge to Herrick's oval "frame. It was taped at reverse side by previous owner and is closed. The only other problem is a few tiny chips to bottom edge.
