I bought this sheet music knowing nothing about Patty Stair except that she lived in Cleveland. As it turned out, she published her six songs: If I Could Take Your Tears, Love; Madrigal; Love Song; When Daisies Bloom; Daphne's Cheeks;and Slumber Song. I googled Patty and found some info, but I also heard singers bringing her music to later generations. Patty was born in 1869 and died in 1926. She studied music at Hathaway Brown School for girls and taught organ at the Cleveland Conservatory of Music. She was also the first woman member of the Ohio Chapter of American Guild of Organists. Here's another good thing! Patty wrote this to the top of the first page: "Carl Edson from Patty Stair with good wishes for his success with better songs. June, 1908." P.S. I have made a repair of the spine at the top and bottom. The only thing that shows is a piece of archival take at the front.
