Klaus George Roy may not be internationally recognized, but he was very well known on the Cleveland music scene. From 1958-1988 he served as program annotator and editor for the Cleveland Orchestra and was actually better known than most of the musicians! He was also a composer and this composition from 1953 was published as part of the AMI Library of Choral Literature. It is signed and dated thus: "This copy for my friend Walter Strauss -- linguist, scholar, music connoisseur and ? (illegible) K. George Roy 11/26/65." Roy died in 2010. The booklet includes lyrics (in Latin) and music and is very clean and nice, marred only by a flat crease to upper front corner. Inscription and signature are on cover as per picture. Laid-in leaflet includes photograph. Measures 7"x10-1/4" and has 27 pages.
