This is such a charming blend of the music of Stravinsky with art. The catalog begins with an essay entitled Stravinsky and the Muses by Herbert Read, plus beautiful works of art which influenced him, including Chagall's beautiful L'Oiseau De Feu (see color plate). The catalog shows the influence of art in both costume and set design. It measures 9" square and is clean and attractive with no names or writing. Stapled to the front is a notice which reads, "A survey of d├ęcor and costume designs located for the ballets of Igor Stravinsky is being prepared for the Dance Collection of the New York Public Library." 60 pages.
