The cover art on this magazine goes with the novelet "A Deskful of Girls" by Fritz Leiber. Leiber was a prolific writer of sci-fi, horror and fantasy, as well as a poet, an actor, and a master chess player. This story appeared here for the first time, but was later included in a book along with other shorter works. It's a ghost story about a psychiatrist who keeps the ghostly auras surrounding his patients in his office after the people themselves leave.
