Beautiful cards, unused, clean and bright. Both scenes depict the diorama of the 1940 City of Light which was located inside the Consolidated Edison building. The one without building lights states "A penciled radiance etches a golden pattern on the mist .." It's a vision of early dawn. Yhe brightly lit card says at the top "Night Falls, but not in the City of Light." The diorama was the largest in the world and as such covered New York from Coney Island to Westchester and from skyline to subway. Both cards will arrive in brand new plastic sleeves.

These little booklets are a collector's dream. They're small, cute, colorful and packed with products for the dolls. The booklets measures 3" across and 3-3/4" tall. The two that say Barbie, Kenm and Midge (one blue, one white) contain different items, so each is its own treat. The third booklet contains "exclusive fashions" for Barbie, Ken, and Midge, plus Allen and Skipper. This one's the thickest and has other items in addition to clothing, such as Barbie's Dream House, a Theatet, furniture and more.

Here we have six unused ink blotters advertising under two names. The Woodall Stenographic Office blotters were all printed in 1921. At that time they advertised stenographic work, mimeographing and multigraphing. The other two advertised Woodall Letter Service and both of those were printed in 1929. They maintained the same services, but added some new ones too --mimeoscoping and printing. All blotters measures 3"x6". I'm not sure where this company was from, but it retained the same phone number which began with a Wabash prefix followed by four numbers.

This is in amazing condition -- so crisp and clean it feels like new and looks like new. It even retains it's outer envelope as well as the three extra items which accompany the booklet. They are a stencil for Shaker tomatoes, a fold-out advertisement for the famous Shaker seeds, and a small booklet which explains how and why the whole package was designed and manufactured. This is a very nice clean catalog, oversized at 11" x 12-1/4". It came with its very poor original mailing envelope which fell apart while I was trying to save it. The best I could do given the network of tears and creases and the soft disintegrating edges is to salvage the company's address and its label which I did. The panel will arrive with the catalog. The colorful scene of a sportsman in a boat in what looks like a marshy area made me think this blotter might be newer than it is. I got out my magnifying glass and there it was though -- a 1917 date. The Willard Battery Storage company was founded in Cleveland in 1896 by Theodore Willard. I've never seen a signed copy, but here we have it -- SIGNED and inscribed by Bruce Hogdon to the previous owner. It's amazing how a simple configuration of gun powder tins and a muzzle-loading rifle above them can be so stunning, but stunning it is. The colors are warm and inviting and the various labels catch the eye.The poster measures 17" x 22", a nice size for framing which doesn't require a lot of wall space. There's no date, though I did try to find one with no luck. I bought the poster rolled which will make it easy to ship and can later be flattened at a frame shop.
