I acquired these two presidential collectibles together and decided to keep them that way, as they came from the same previous owner. The larger booklet is The McKinley National Memorial and is very handsome with its raised medallion at the front, its deckled page edges, and the two tipped-in photographs-- one of the president and the other of the memorial. This booklet is a soft cover which measures 7"x10" and has eight decorated pages printed on excellent heavy paper. Depicted in this photo is the second court house in Akron, Ohio. It was completed in 1908 and there on the steps are the first jury in the new building. The card is postmarked January 25, 1909 and was sent to Edna Stocksdale of Dundee, Ohio. The message appears to have been partially erased and is virtually unreadable. Card also shows some smudges at back, but the main problem is a horizontal crease to entire card. The good news is it's in no danger of snapping off and is not hugely noticeable. This is an uncoomin card and I have placed it in a plastic sleeve.

Very handsome scene of the Central Engine House located in Canton, Ohio. It should have delivered a date with the postmark, but the stamp is indecipherable. I think it's fair to presume that it dates from the early 1900's. The card was sent to Winona Knoll of Louisville, Ohio from her friend Sadie. The card is clean and nice with a small bit of wear to lower right hand corner (see photo) and two small shallow creases beneath the highest white cloud. You feel them more than see them. This real photo postcard shows the handsome house which served as the Canton Ohio Woman's Club. There is no printed writing designating it, but someone penciled it at the bottom margin. The card was printed on Artura paper as seen in the stamp box. Artura was a company which provided real photo postcards from 1908-1924. I think this photo may have been taken in 1920, the year the club was established. At any rate it brings the span of possibility down to 1920-24. Card is clean and nice with just one small light stain to unused back of card/ Card will arrive in a brand new plastic sleeve.

The one which shows off the lobby has this message penciled on the back - "Hello Little Sweetheart, I received your beautiful cards today and I was glad to hear from you. They were beautiful and goodness gracious you don't know how much I love them. Lots of Love, Jack." Both cards are very nicely kept and will arrive each in its own plastic sleeve.
