This is NOT the entire issue of the magazine, but it's pretty spectacular if you're interested in Thomas Edison, the author, James Burroughs, and Harvey Firestone, president of Firestone Rubber Company. The three men took a two week camping vacation through New Jersey, New York and Vermont. They met up at Edison Laboratories in Orange, New Jersey in late August where they climbed into Edison's "motor truck" which carried all three passengers, plus camping gear. The story of the trip is told in captioned pictures over two oversized pages which measure 11" x 15". The previous owner collected al... View more info

I found these disbound articles in a box of Architectual Review Magazines which I bought at auction. I almost tossed them out until I realized how worthy they are. Each of the 24 focuses on a particular area within a state located anywhere in the country. They all derived from American Preservation magazine, so the color photographs are stunning. Areas are these: New Orleans Lower Garden District; Providence, Rhode Island; Salem Massachusetts; Eutaw, Alabama's Greek Revival Architecture; Galveston, Texas; Mizner... View more info

Publisher: U.S.A., Munsey's Magazine: 1908
Edition: Vol. XCCIX, Number VI

Condition: Very good
This is one article only, retrieved from a magazine that was falling apart. It's clean with no creasing and stapled together at the top. The only fault is a tiny spot at lower left corner of each page. The article includes 13 photographs and 11 pages. Appeals to readers interested in American history, politics, and presidents. The title is If Taft Is Elected to the Presidency and written by Allen D. Albert. Very interesting -- not a "fluff piece." View more info

This is a single article retrieved from a disbound magazine which was falling apart. John White Alexander was an acclaimed portraitist who focused quite a bit on beautiful young women -- hich is not say that he didn't paint men -- he did. See the wonderful portrait of the poet Walt Whitman in the pictures I've provided. The article offers information about the artist and his work and includes eight photographs in 13 pages.
