Very nice booklet bound in boards and covered with light blue paper and blue cloth to the spine. It measures 7-1/4" x 9-3/4" and has 133 pages with drawings throughout the book and black and white plates at the back. The only problems inside are four pages which show brown stains each with a tear at the top of the pages. I fixed the rips and covered the stains as best I could with archival tape. The inside of this guide book is clean and tightly bound and has no names or writing. The plastic spiral which binds it isn't cracked and there is only one small piece of it missing at bottom of spine, but all pages are nicely adhered. There is also a crisp, pristine geological map at the back cover inserted into a clean white envelope designed for the purpose. I had one of these some years ago, but I don't remember there being so many pertinent pieces of ephemera in the pocket located inside the back cover. The book itself is wonderful with black and white photographs, maps, and a lengthy text filling 138 pages. It's a guide to the rocks, the geologic history of the area, and the settlers of the area of Big Bend National Park in Texas.
