I wish I could provide more information on this pretty little Catholic prayer book published in Czechoslavkia, but I have only the bare bones. It's made of celluloid and decorated at edges of reverse sides of both front and back covers with pretty gold and white dentelles and page edges are gilded on all three sides. Other than the cover art there are no additional images. No names or writing either. Measures 2-1/4"x3-1/2" and has 256 pages. View more info

Pretty little book which was a gift from a mother to her daughter. The book has no printed date so the inscription dated 1910 saves the day. It measures 3-1/4" x 2-1/2" and has 192 pages. The book is nicely made with subtle endpapers and gilding around all three edges of the text block. Book was intended to be read daily -- a few lines from Scripture and a few from a hymn. Your New Westclox Alarm (Miniature Advertising Book 1930's))

By: N/A

Price: $20.00

Publisher: La Salle, Illinois, Western Clock Company: 1920's - 1930's

Seller ID: 1782

Condition: Fine condition

Attention miniature book collectors! Though this isn't really a book it became one when Westclox turned their advertising message into a story. The odds of finding one of these are probably poor to none because it measures a tiny 2-1/4" x 3-1/4". Oddly there's no date, but given the picture of the stove -- yes, the little book is illustrated -- appears to be from the late 20's or the 30's. Westclox made alarm clocks in 1909, so they were nothing new. But you'd never know that by reading the little book about all the many things a Westclox alarm clock can help you with through the day. The book... View more info

This is a small collection of eight small books which measure a diminutive 3-1/2" x 4-1/2". Technically, they are not true miniatures, but they are small enough to charm and large enough to read. Seven of the eight were published by Siena in 1996 with one, Hitler, being a Parragon first edition from 1994. Siena, however, is an imprint of Parragon. The books are illustrated in both color and black and white and have an average 70 pages. All are clean and attractive, designed with laminated pictorial boards. This is a large series, which would be be fun to collect. View more info

I bought this last night at a book and paper sale -- what a surprise! I have been going to this place for 20 years and never have I seen any any Asian items I can recall. The box is covered with blue cloth and is clean and sturdy. Inside are two stacks of small comic books, ten on each side. The text is in Chinese, but the black and white drawings tell a story too. The little books measure 3-1/2" x 5". I was able to translate much, but the same exact specific item was used in every translation site which was a problem because two books are missing from that one. Mine has ALL TWENTY. The transl... Price: $10.00

Publisher: London and Glasgow, Collins: No date, but odler

This little book is technically shy of being a true miniature. It's 3" wide and 3-3-/4" tall and has 80 pristine pages and a beautiful binding with bright printing to face. The book appears to be about Christianity from a 19th century evangelical perspective. The thrust seems to be the importance of love, kindness and integrity. Would make a sweet little gift book. Very nice, clean, pocket sized book which was initially published in 1894, then again in 1898 and here in 1900. The condition is quite good and the book is small at 4"x 6" with very clean bright end papers and pages. The exterior shows a little rubbing to the cloth at the top and bottom of the spine, but no loss of fabric. There are 19 chapters in 229 pages. There was also a tiny tear to top edge at the very back of the book, all of which were repaired by me with tiny pieces of almost invisible and non-browning archival tape. I also just noticed a clean snip to the corner of the last blank pa... View more info
