This is a handsome church souvenir replete with a shiny, bright cover. There's a little wear here and there on it, but overall it's still quite nice. The text is in both English and Czechoslovakian. There's also a lot of black and white photographs, plus list of donors and much information on the new church. Local ads at back. Booklet measures 6"x 9-1/4" and is clean and tightly bound with no names or writing. View More...
Very nice, clean dedication program and souvenir with no names or writing. The booklet was made with a suede-like cover, which after lying around all these years, needed to be vacuumed. So I did just that. This dedication was for the new church which replaced the original from 1914. There are numerous photographs of the church as it was being built and after it was finished. Other items are a history and photos of the congregation, as well as letters and photos of dignities such as Pope Pius XII and various bishops. There's also two lists of events -- the religious and the secular, plus lists... View More...

A very nice church history, not often seen. The church was organized August 23, 1822 and the history was compiled from the church's own records dating back from the beginning. A wonderful history with black and white photographs. Booklet measures 6"x9" and has 44 pages of text. Booklet is very clean inside with no names or writing. Only fault is toning to spine area at front and a couple small light stains to same area. Overall nice. View More...
Here's another Cleveland item which I've never had before! Lately that's been happening quite a bit. Anyway, this one is very clean and nice with just a small bit of toning to edges. The cross on the front is a cut-out and the blue color is coming from the art inside. It's a painting and is tipped-in rather than having been printed on the page. The booklet measures 8"x10" and has 16 pages. Old Stone church is Presbyterian and very lovely, the backdrop for many weddings. Text consists of a formal resolution from both the Ohio Senate and the city of Cleveland commemorating the anniversary, a Hi... View More...
Beautiful postcard showing the Bahai Temple in Wilmette, Illinois which opened in 1953. It is one of eight dedicated temples of which it is the oldest in the world. The architecture is a mix of Old Egyptian, Gothic, Arabic, Romanesque, Byzantine and Renaissance. Card is in very nice condition, has not been used, and will arrive in a brand new plastic sleeve. Beautiful church located in Cologne, the fourth largest city in Germany. It was sent July 3, 1927 postmarked Cologne and addressed to Antoinetta Krebs of Cleveland, Ohio. The message read: Dear Tonie, Well, we are on the last leg of our journey. While out sightseeing this afternoon I saw a sign Dr. Krebbs. So you see, you haven't the only one in your family. Go to Berlin in the morning to sail the 9th of August and hope to be home on the 20th." Card is clean and crisp with sharp corners. Only a tiny bit of wear to upper right and lower left tips. Very stunning church interior with emphasis on the altar area. The church's parish originally belonged to the oldest settlement in the United States. The present church as seen here was the third in the parish and was built in 1728. The town of Hampton suffered a serious fire in which the church burned on August 7, 1861. Fortunately, it was restored in 1868. The card has not been used and is very clean. The corners are light bumped, but overall it's a beauty and will arrive in a brand new plastic sleeve. View More...
Excellent black and white postcard which shows not only the church as it was in 1914, but also provides two insets, one of the previous church and the other a portrait of its minister, Rev. E.P, Herbruck, who had served the church for 27 years. The card is clean with sharp corners and was never mailed, though it does have a message which helped date it. It reads, "Bought August 5th, 1914 at August church tea. Mrs. Wilson and I attended. Tillie." Card will arrive in brand new plastic sleeve. View More...

Very nice, clean booklet commemorating the dedication of the new Our Lady of Lourdes Church. Only fault is a flat crease to lower front corner of cover. Oddly, there is no reference to the exact town in Florida where it's located, but there is a photo of the presiding Bishop of Orlando, Thomas J. Grady. This is an exceptional keepsake thanks to the many photographs, including some in full color, plus lots of photos of the parishioners in action. There's also history and a roster of the patrons who helped make the new church possible. As always with these momentos, there are ads at the back of ... View More...

The booklet is wonderful for family tree building as there are many names -- both early founders and members in 1943 when the booklet was published. I have included a few photogrpahs here, but there also photos of the congregation and choir in 1943. the booklet is bound with original gold cording and comes with a program for October 31, 1943 which was dedicated to the anniversary of the church.
