This is one of those Ohioana items which are new to me. It's always fun when a new one appears. This over-sized booklet traces the beginning of the residential movement for Buckeye artists in 1983 when Ohio joined the Studio Workspace Program in Long Island, New York. Next came the Headlands Center for the Arts near San Francisco in 1997. The artists in residence shown in this booklet were Gretchen Stevens Cochran, Malcolm Cochran, James Duesing, Gilda Edwards, Sean Foley, Mitchell Sanford, Karen Snouffer, Kay Willens, and Walter Zurko. The booklet measures 8" x 12" and has 40 pages.

A soft cover book is wrapped around completely with the treal colored "jacket" which may have had a ribbon tie given the two slots for one, but doesn't require it, as the jacket stays closed without it.The exhibition is an artistic interpretation of the only Biblical hymn to wome -- Aishet Hayil. As such 32 artists were igven a line of the poem of that name to interpret with their art. The cover is beautiful with different colors on both back and front. What I love about this one is the many colors of the pages. The book is clean and tightly bound with no spine crease and no names or writing. The book primarily explains the festival and its prize winners. The book measures 8-1/4" x 11-1/2" and has 218 pages to introduce the largest group of Arab artists in the world. There are photographs throughout.

This is such a charming catalog, published to accompany an antiques and art exhibit on Heinz Ocean Pier in Atlantic City, "the seadside home of the 57 varieties." I'm surprised that there is no date, but I certainly can't find one. The clothes, however, offer a good clue. There were 162 items on display, many of Asian origin, but not all. The guide book measures 4-1/2" x 7-1/2" and has a few black and white photographs throughhout. This is an interesting booklet about Canadian indigenous art from the Baker Lake area of Ottawa. It began with the Sanavik co-operative which endeavored to create a print program. Unfortunately it didn't catch fire right away, so instead of producing huge numbers of art prints they decided to choose carefully and confine each to a limited edition of no more than 50 copies. The booklet measures 8-1/2" x 11" and has 39 pristine pages. The only fault is some light sunning to spine. Wow -- what a beautiful catalog this is! The color woodcuts are just charming and the catalog is very clean and mostly very, very nice. But it looks as though someone set a wet glass on it inside the cover. (See second photo) Consequently there are some light pink spots to reverse side of cover and a slight bit of crinkliness to the area where the glass was, though I have pressed it much flatter in the book press and it covers just a few pages at front.
