This is a very nice issue both in terms of condition and content. There is only light toning to cover -- the pages are clean and bright and the magazine shows no wear to spine. The issue is devoted to the Grand Army of the Republic and how it impacted the state of Vermont. One of the most important players was Col. Wheelock G. Veazey who was commander-in-chief of the Grand Army and is pictured at front across from the introduction article of this magazine written by ex-governor, Frederick Holbrook. Other than a small repair to the upper spine at front cover the magazine is very nicely kept. The repair feels as though it was done with archival tape which doesn't turn brown and is very subtle. The magazine tends to focus on a theme -- in this case it's about luring travelers to the state with hotels. The rest is about various areas of interest -- Manchester in the mountains, Lull's Brook, a mountain directory, Elmore Mountain, the charm of Memphremagog, and the story of Grass Mount, a stately home in Burlington.
