Price: $20.00

Publisher: Cleveland, Ohio, Atlas Studio:

Condition: Very Good

These are very interesting - not just because everyone looks so nice and they're sooooooo 40's, but because of the photography. What we have here is a framed duotone under glass and a loose hand-colored photo of the same wedding with the addition of the groom and groomsmen. Both photos were take by Atlas Studio of Cleveland, but, sadly, we don't know who these people are. The duotone is sealed in a leatherette frame which has a stand on the back for display. The inside image is 8"x10" and the frame is 11-1/2"x13". The color one is also 8x10", so it's easy to frame. View more info

Charming marriage certificate booklet printed in 1900 and used in 1913 and then given to the couple as a memento from the church in which they were married -- Trinity Lutheran of Akron, Ohio. Tied with a cord and filled with pretty period flowers and flourishes, poems, and religious admonitions. It's thirteen pages of turn-of-the century charm -- and large too at 6"x7-1/2" The clear, easy to read handwriting declares that it certifies that Henry J. Burnett and Miss Elizabeth K. Price: $24.95

Publisher: Germany,

I am fairly aswoon over this real photo postcard which is without question the most beautful I have ever had. The couple is attractive (the bride is especially lovely), the pose very romantic, and the details on the headpiece of her veil and at the top of her dress are exquisite in blue. The card was not sent, so it's possible to see the stamp box which shows the logo of an unknown maker of photographic paper, NBC. Consequently, there is no date. View more info

These beautiful people from the early 1900's have lived with me for 30 years. It's amazing that the photographer didn't state his name, his business, and where he lived. Many times I wondered if I should take the frame apart and see if any names were hidden. I didn't until this morning. The original wooden frame has a small piece of wood at the lower left corner and a small water stain to the upper right corner of the mat. The wood backing had once been covered with paper, but it was so brittle it just fell away, but I found a name -- George W. Hueheol and a hard to read address. no names fo... View more info

Other fun articles are fashion designers of the 1930's, Jeanette MacDonald star of the 1930's musicals, lace-up paper dolls, sweet children paperdolls by artist Fern Bisel Peat, and more. There's a lot to read here! The magazine measures 8-1/2" x 11 with 32 pages. View more info
