I was so excited to find this. It reminded me of how much fun it was to dance to the Temptations in the 60's. If anyone saw me taking these pictures while inging My Girl (badly -- VERY badly) they'd run for the hills. Anyway, this is a colorful, gorgeous concert souvenir. It's very clean and tightly bound with no names or writing and lots of great photos, some in color and some in black and white. The booklet measures 9-1/2" x 11" and has 16 pages with bios of each singer and info on songs and venues. View more info

This is a remarkable trade catalog which confines itself to all things player piano, but if you have one, or want one, this is fun to read. Right on the front cover Armstrong says he has "the lagest selection of player piano parts and accessories in the world" It sure looks possible! The first section displays such things as bellows cloth, lubricants, punches, gaskets, leather and ward washers, suction units and much, much more. The second section is all about those music rolls, but not all of them are vintage. Well, they are now because the newest songs are from the late 80's! Also included is... View more info

The intricate embroidery on the costumes for the Ukranian Choir caught my eye immediately. Hours and hours of stitching to make such complex designs are worth it to honor the music and culture of the old country. The choir sang at the Ukrainian German Catholic Church in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I hoped for the names, but tyhere are none on the back. The photographer, however, was from Sicienski Studio on E. Northampton and S. Hancock Streets in Wilkes-Barre. the image itself measures 9-1/4" x 7-1/2. With the cardboard "frame" it measures 14" x 12". The lower corenrs of the "frame" are a bit ... View more info

This little picture is quite charming, especially given the fact that someone actually took the time to write on the back. It's in pencil on black, but you can read it. The little girl at the piano is Eleanor, the mother is Hattie ,and the father is Rudy. It's dated 1906, but this is what made me buy it -- underneath the info mentioned the same person wrote this: "Note pictures and paintings on walls." I am 99 per cent sure that the father is Rudolph Huettrich, the same man wearing a Knights of Columbus uniform in a photo I have. Type Knights of Columbus in the title box and you will find it ... The organ itself is tiny compared to this impressive stage in the then brand new City Hall in Portland, Maine. The original hall burned in a fire and was rebuilt. A friend of Herman Kotzschman, the German musician, composer and conductor, donated the organ which was dedicated on August 22, 1912. Herman Kotzschman died in 1908 at 78. This is interesting -- a blend of music from the Italian star, Toscanini, and the sale of RCA record changers, home entertainment, radio, and Victrolas. Most of the booklet belongs to Toscanini until the back section which shows the above items to bring music to the home. The booklet measures 8" x 11" and has 21 pages. The booklet is clean and tightly bound, but the first spread of pictures show toning from a newspaper clipping which had nothing to do with the contents and a few small lower corner creases which I ironed and used small pieces of archival tape to keep the paper from snapping off...
