Price: $15.00

Publisher: New York, Ellison B. Greenstone: Unknown Date

Handsome souvenir for the performance of Shakespeare's The Tempest produced by Margaret Webster. It's not a program, but an informative booklet about the play itself, its characters, and the actors and actresses who took on the roles. The inside is printed in blue ink of which tiny little dots of it landed here and there. It had also been folded in half vertically, the bane of most theater programs and souvenirs, but it's lying flat again thanks to the book press. There is also a light dampstain to lower corner at open side of cover, but it's not too visible. The booklet measures 8-1/2" x 11"... View more info

The only fault is a small abrasion on two pages which were stuck together at one time. I almost didn't even see it. On on of the those pages (see photo) where there is a names written on the outer margin. I thought it would be a signature from one of the three guys in the picture -- Alex Haley, T... Very attractive theater souvenir featuring Jane Powell as Irene. The same front cover is used on the show in which Debbie Reynolds played Irene. The cover design was the work of Hilary Knight, who happens to be a man, and is also the illustrator for the famous Eloise books for children, the most notable of which is Eloise at the Plaza. There is no theater named so that one souvenir could be used for all. It's not a program, so it doesn't matter. It's filled with charming stills and bios of the various people in it and around it. Irene is not as common as others of the era, but it's a musical c... View more info
