Crisp clean catalog which defies its age and also comes with the original price list and a letter from the company directed to the consumer. There is no date, but it details its use of a product called Tenite which debuted in the 1940's. As the war escalated Tenite kept sporting goods on the market while wood was held for miltiary guns. The catalog measures 7-1/4" x 10-1/4" with 30 pages. Not often seen. View More...
Very nice program which includes the winners from the various matches. The event is held by the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association located in tiny Friendship, Indiana. These matches drew in a lot of people, both bystanders and competitors. The booklet measures 8-1/2" x 11" and has 39 pages. It's very clean and somehow managed not to get folded in half. If you were there and lost yours here's a chance to get a replacement. I've never seen these out in the wild before this one! View More...
This is a most handsome booklet -- quality printed and nicely kept. Text contains much information and is printed on quality coated paper with much saturated illustration. Contents covers John M. Browning and His Guns; Jonathan Browning; John Moses Browning; Mathew Sandefur Browning; The Development of Lever-Action Repeating Rifles and Pump-Action Shotguns; the Invention and Development of the Automatic Firearm; Browning Guns in Times of National Defense; and The Superposed. Booklet measures 7" x 7-1/2" and has 60 page. Not fluff. View More...
Though this advertising fan has some creases to the colorful picture it's very homey and the dogs and the fireplace are enchanting. The image is named "There Goes Your Old Hunting Coat" thanks to the five playful dogs. The fan intself measures 7-3/4 x 9-1/4" and has a 7-1/2" handle. The back of the fan has a nice picure of the Garret Snuff company. There is information beneath it and is easily read even though there's a clear piece of tape. View More...
Though it folds up neatly to just 7-1/2"x9-1/2" this Colt brochure is one huge advertising piece folding out to measure 22"x28" with products -- pictures, descriptions, prices -- on both sides. The date printed is November 1971.It includes books, guns, boxed sets of Derringers, knives, beautiful specialty stocks, and more. Brochure is stamped at face with the name & address of a gun store in Brecksville, Ohio. View More...
Wow! This is a really nice find. Inside this envelope are many pristine, unused advertising products. The envelope was never mailed which is likely why everything inside is so perfect. The contents include the following: a letter to the dealer; a 1978 catalog replete with price sheet; a huge wall or window banner measuring 12" x 52"; and a counter card (10-1/2" x 14") affixed with a pad of tear-off coupons. None were used AND we have a second unused pad as well. View More...

This one's a cross between a newspaper and a magazine. Retains the newspaper look, but the paper itself is much more substantial which is why it looks so nice. This is NOT the publication of the same name issued by Andy Palmer of Michigan. This one is harder to find and came from Ohio, though Palmer's is getting to be scarce too. The magazine measures 12"x18" and has 12 pages of dense text. It's clean, crisp and bright with just a few little tears which I have repaired with almost invisible archival tape. The articles are all short and cover a wide range of subjects, including an NRA meeting i... View More...

Very helpful booklet with much information on using black powder for muzzle loading guns. I've never seen a signed copy, but here we have it -- SIGNED and inscribed by Bruce Hogdon to the previous owner. The booklet measures 5-1/2" x 8" with 83 pages and is clean and tightly bound with some minor edge wear and a and a crease to back cover which is completely flat. There's even an article inside by well-known gun writer,Sam Fadala, plus other writers, tables of information and black and white photographs. View More...
Small booklet featuring 50 engravings -- quite scarce. Condition is sound and readable, but book does show a few issues including a chip to top front corner next to spine, tearing at front cover nexr to spine at both top and bottom repaired neatly with non-browning archival tape, and a few small chips to the bottom of a page. Booklet measures 5-1/2"x 8" and covers all of the items in the title, plus the manufacture and use of traps, snares, nets, baits etc., as well as full instructions for preserving, tanning and dyeing skins and furs. 51 dense pages. Crisp and clean as new with the keepsake medallion in it's original bag stapled to front corner. NMLRA is still conducting target shooting competitions using single bullet muzzleloaders. The competition is about sport of course, but it's also an endeavor for competitors to arrive in historical garb. The program measures 5-1/2" x 8-3/4"and has 16 pages. The only defect is the fate of many programs of all kinds -- a vertical fold right now the center. It's unusual to find the token. View More...
This 1955 fishing license was issued to a man from Parma, Ohio off to Canada on an "angling vacation." The license is a small booklet which contains pertinent details about the issuee, as well as Ontario "fishery regulations" and info on the Game and Fisheries Act. It shows browning on both front and back covers, as well as a loss of the top layer of paper at the bottom back corner (small). All fishing coupons are still intact, so Mr. Martin must not have been too lucky. The coupons are very specific, each for a different type of fish and each allowing for 5 or six of most species, but only on... View More...
I love this card! A young couple is caught kissing in the woods while both rifles are leaning against a fence -- though the young lady IS holding on to hers! The card is postmarked Akron, Ohio and was written on the divided back on September 6, 1910 by a hunter! His message reads, "Arrival all OK, but have not been hunting yet." It was sent to Lorain, Ohio. Card will arrive in brand new plastic sleeve. View More...
Very nice, clean booklet which is a third reprint. It's clean and tightly bound with no names or writing and no underlining or creasing. The booklet measures 5-1/4" x 7-1/2" and has 74 pages, plus 1874 prices at back of book. The illustrations are exceptional throughout with no skimping on ink. The booklet covers sporting and target rifles, shotguns, pistols, ammunition, gun barrels, mountings, and implements. The only fault is a shadow on the left corner of the front cover caused by the removal of a price sticker. There's is also a very small stain next to the left close to the bottom of the ... There is no date in this catalog that I can find. Very often though there isnt a date by design so that the catalog can remain in action longer. A little research indicated however indicated that this was published around 1984. It's very nice and clean with just one fault -- a tiny puncture on the front cover which I almost missed. To keep it small I put a tiny piece of archival tape over it from the reverse side. The catalog measures 8-1/2" x 11 and has 27 pages. Among the types are M-77 Bolt-Action Rifle; No. 1 Single-shot Rifle; No. 1 Light Sporter; Mini-14 Semi Automatic Rifles; Over and... View More...
Very uncommon trade catalog and very graphically appealing. It's clean inside and out with just light wear to edges of cover. The only real fault is the spine having been neatly and discretely repaired along its length with clear tape. The catalog is tightly bound throughout, measures 6"x9", and has 32 pages with additional products on reverse of back cover. Numerous photographs throughout and an unused order blank laid-in. Products include items for the border patrol, plus fancy holsters for many types of guns and knives, handcuff cases, belts, including "Buscadero" and cartridge belts, scab... View More...

Magazine has been cleaned by me and a short area at top of spine has been repaired, also by me, with almost invisible archival tape to keep it from worsening. There is still some soil to cover, but overall this is a nice, tightly bound piece. It's a large one too measuring 9"x12". The big story to me was the launch of the first muzzleloading shooting matches at Portsmouth, Ohio, an event which also launched the rebirth of shooting black powder firearms as a sport. Other topics include woodchuck hunting, the Super-X. cartridges, the new Bausch & Lomb Spottong Scope, and much more. 52 pages View More...
