This is a remarkable item, a souvenir and program of the unveiling of the portrait of Chairman Morris K. Udall. The event took place on Wed., Feb.6, 1985. The booklet holds biographical material, plus the program, and the remarks of various speakers. What's also surprising is the fact that the pages are bound in blue cloth over boards. This is one of the most elegant booklets I've ever seen. The cover is made of substantial cardstock with raised letters at front, acetate endpapers both front and back, quality coated paper, and excellent black and white historic photographs, plus facsimiles of documents. The subject, Albert W. Smith, was part of small coterie of scientists who worked to found the profession of Chemical Engineering and in doing so put Case Institute of Technology as it as called then, on the educational map.The booklet measures 8-1/2"x11" and has 39 pages.
