If you're restoring an old car there's nothing like the original manual to tuck into the glove compartment. Here we have not only the manual, but also the accompanying booklet about the car's emission control systems and their required maintenance and warranty information. Both measure 5" tall by 8" long and fit into their original blue plastic holder. The owner's manual shows some rubbing to blue cover and a small stain to side of text block which can be seen on the very edge of some pages inside. The emissions book is quite good with a light ring stain from a glass at back. Overall, both are... View More...

Very nice booklet -- clean and bright inside and out. Measures 6-1/2"x 9-1/2" and has 70 pages. The title page shows drawings of Abraham Lincoln, Luther Burbank, Thomas Edison and Henry Ford. Articles are practical and down to earth including these topics: woodworking projects around the farm, such as a homemade fly trap which caught 500,000 flies in a single season; radio on the farm; and poisonous weeds and plants. Illustrated with drawings and photographs. Very much a how-to book. [ AG. / NAT. HIST.] View More...
The paper cover is rather lightweight on this catalog, so it's no wonder it was a little loose. I re-enforced it with archival tape alongside the spine at the right hand side of the picture. It hardly shows. The catalog has fifteen pages in color and offers instructions. Crafters could buy kits with everything needed to make the ship rug (see photo) and other attractive designs. The catalog measures 8" tall and 11" wide and has 16 pages of info including the back cover. View More...
Very nice, clean music book, oversized at 9"x12" with 53 pages. Written in English, French, and German to help the student develop stamina, strength. and endurance. There are a few instances of penciled notes, but I never remove these in music books in case the might prove beneficial to musicians who understand them. They can, however, be easily be removed if desired. View More...

Crepe paper has long been synonymous with life's festive events and no one knew the business as well as the Dennison Manufacturing Company which set up shop in Framingham in 1897. Although the company merged with Avery in 1990, there was a time when the railroad that ran in front of its red brick buildings groaned under a heavy load of crepe paper in a rainbow of colors. This booklet uses strong graphic drawings to unveil a a parade of great ideas. It's clean and bright inside and out with no names or writing. Measures 5-3/4" x 8-1/4 and has 36 pages. View More...

I love the pieces parts of a Ma-Jong game, but haven't a clue as to how you would play it. So here's the answer which will hopefully keep the ancient Chinese game being played in the 21st century. The first edition of this booklet was published in 1922 by the same company. The booklet measures 5-1/4" x 8" and has 44 pages with drawings. Only two defects -- a couple small light spots of foxing to first page and a crack at the lower front corner which I re-enforced at the reverse side (see photo). View More...
Very nice, clean crochet booklet from 1916 with wonderful ideas for crochet which could be adapted today. The lacy yokes would be pretty on a top or a dress, there's a tasseled covering for a library table, plus two very cute purses, and several different crocheted containers. Very charming. Measures 8"x10-1/2" and has 15 pages with large illustrations. View More...
No date here, but there's one clue that tells us this Skil packet precedes the zip code which was introduced in 1963. The envelope is pretty good save some limpness to the flap, a few creases ,and some light soil which proved stubborn despite my efforts with the document pad. Inside are the operating instructions for the Skil Home Shop Model 578 Oscillating Sander, the ABc'S of Your Skil Home Shop Drills; and Skil Tool Home Shop and Homebuilders. Three items in all in the original envelope. The interior pieces are very clean. View More...

There's some spotting to first two pages and and back cover shows a couple of the same as well as some residual soil. Normally I wouldn't have bought it, but the manual is tightly bound and quite good inside. But the best part is that it comes with extra goodies. Laid-in in a large folded two-sided sheet which tells you how to operate your Hydra-matic Drive, a pink paper titled Order Subject to Present and Future Government Regulations, AND the original bill of sale for the car. The car was sold to a man from Cleveland on March 30, 1951, an Oldsmobile 98 Deluxe Convertible coupe with this lis... View More...
