There's much to like about a Tucks postcard and this one is no exception woth its heavy embossing, especially on the clock, and it's decorative border and gilding. The one shows very little wear. The last digit of the postmark date is obscured, but I think it's either a six or an eight. The message just says From Mabel, but it sas written to Sophie Nundahl of Perry, North Dakota. I seem to have a lot of Spophie's cards! View More...
This is an interesting piece of ephemera for children fro m Akron Saalfield Publishing. It's sort of a book, but more a booklet with a strange little spin. It's very nice and clean and measures 6"x11" with a bright attractive cover design. The only fault is one flat crease to the bottom back corner. It's amazing that this book survived in such great condition because it was designed as an activity book in which children were encouraged to clip pictures of products from ads in the newspaper and paste them at the appropriate places in the story. Fortunately, this copy survived unscathed! The "... View More...

Very clean, tightly bound catalog marred only by light edge wear and a small bit of rubbing to top corners of front cover. S. LaRose Inc. billed itself as a worldwide distributor to horologists with comprehensive and up-to-date coverage of clock replacement movements, motors, parts, supplies and tools. Illustrated profusely throughout in black and white to augment product descriptions. Measures 5-1/2"x8-1/2" and has 306 pages. View More...
Very nice, tightly bound trade catalog of interest to those who make and/or repair clocks. It's quite thick with 256 pages and measures 8"x11". Contents are pristine, but cover shows a few light errant marks and a superficial vertical crease(which is not visible) to front cover. Stamped at the bottom is the name of a previous owner, Hoags Shop on Huron Rd. Cleveland. Much illustration, some in gravure, with helpful information View More...
Attention miniature book collectors! Though this isn't really a book it became one when Westclox turned their advertising message into a story. The odds of finding one of these are probably poor to none because it measures a tiny 2-1/4" x 3-1/4". Oddly there's no date, but given the picture of the stove -- yes, the little book is illustrated -- appears to be from the late 20's or the 30's. Westclox made alarm clocks in 1909, so they were nothing new. But you'd never know that by reading the little book about all the many things a Westclox alarm clock can help you with through the day. The book... View More...
