Publisher: New York city, PM: 1977

Very nice, tightly bound trade catalog of interest to those who make and/or repair clocks. It's quite thick with 256 pages and measures 8"x11". Contents are pristine, but cover shows a few light errant marks and a superficial vertical crease(which is not visible) to front cover. Stamped at the bottom is the name of a previous owner, Hoags Shop on Huron Rd. Cleveland. Much illustration, some in gravure, with helpful information View more info

Very pretty depiction of an Akron, Ohio landmark. The card is very nice in its plastic sleeve and retains a one cent stamp which covers the manufacturer's name. Only fault is a small bit of bleed-through from the postmark visible above the roof of the house - minor. The card was sent to Lodi, Ohio and the message (with errors) is as follows: "Am feeling fine. How is the weather their? I have my sweater coat on in the house. Bertha and Charlie went to Cleveland this morning. I will half to work Monday night. Sat. night was a busy one. Be home Sat. night some time. Arthur K." View more info

1940's Wedding Pictures; Hand Colored and Duotone

By: N/A

Price: $20.00

Publisher: Cleveland, Ohio, Atlas Studio:

Seller ID: 0104

Condition: Very Good

These are very interesting - not just because everyone looks so nice and they're sooooooo 40's, but because of the photography. What we have here is a framed duotone under glass and a loose hand-colored photo of the same wedding with the addition of the groom and groomsmen. Both photos were take by Atlas Studio of Cleveland, but, sadly, we don't know who these people are. The duotone is sealed in a leatherette frame which has a stand on the back for display. The inside image is 8"x10" and the frame is 11-1/2"x13". The color one is also 8x10", so it's easy to frame. View more info

This is a cool thing, whether you are an alum yourself or are looking for an ancestor who was a member. Looks like this was quite a bash, as brothers descended on the Hotel Hollendan for a five day gala -- December 27th to the 31st. It's interesting to note that Zeta Beta Tau was the first Jewish fraternity in the U.S.. It's not sectarian anymore, but it still was at the time of this event. The brochure measures 5-1/2"x8" and pulls out to reveal five printed page on the front and five on the back. Members came from City College of New York, Columbia, Pennsylvania. Publisher: New York, St. Gregory Musical society Inc.: 1919

Seller ID: 0143

Condition: Very Good

This two-piece souvenir of a 1919 evening of liturgical music marks the first time in history that the choirs from the Roman Basilicas and the Vatican performed outside of Rome. The program does not indicate the city directly, but an Ohio reference on back cover and the fact that the location was St. Clair Avenue leads us to believe it had to have been Cleveland. The most important piece, however, is the larger brochure which measures 8x10" and is profusely illustrated and filled with information about the choirs and their history. Although unpaginated, we counted 24. Cover, though simple, is ... View more info

When I had the chance I bought two of these huge 1995 calendars. Every one has a picture, be it painting or photography, and all but one are in color. There are the twelve months from 1995, but also one for December of 1994, and one for January of 1996. The places include the square at Chagrin Falls, John Carroll University, Christmas on Cleveland Square, the lobby of Severance Hall, The Cleveland Stadium, Put-in-Bay and more. As I mentioned, this is a BIG calendar. Imagine the beauty of Cleveland in a format of 19-1/2" x 24" with no names or writing. PLEASE NOTE: This item will incur additio... View more info

Publisher: Cleveland, Ohio, The Chemical Rubber Company: circa 1934

Really nice advertising brochure with no date, so it required some sleuthing. What did the trick was the ad for a book, Adventures with A Microscope by Julian D. Corington. The book was published in 1934, so the brochure was likely issued in '34 or thereabouts. There is no mailing label on it and no fault of note. Closed it measures 7-1/2"x10-1/2", but folds out to a whopping 28" with scientific products pictured on both sides. View more info

What a beautiful travel brochure this is, a product of the Golden of Age of Travel when the literature was sumptuous, including that provided by the various governments. This one is no exception with 32 pages measuring 9"x11-1/4" illustrated beautifully in both color and black and white -- and even sporting a decorative drawing on each. The only faults are a bit of softening to the corners and a small stain to the right hand edge of the front cover whch lightly affects a few pages following. The first page shows a stamp at the top of the page inficating its origin -- the Akins Folkman Company...
