Price: $14.95

Publisher: Detroit, Michigan, The Zenner-Raymond Disinfectant Company: 1898

Seller ID: 1284

Condition: Very good

The bright color of this ad and its matching envelope caught my attention immediately, but after reading it it occurred to me that I have never had anything produced by Zenner-Raymond until now. The ad is complete as you see it, printed only on the front, and fits inside the envelope which measures 3-1/2"x6". Love the bold exterior message: Zenoleum Sheep Dip Is Not Poisonous." The postmark reads Detroit April 28, 1898 -- the ad was created from an 1897 study conducted by the State Agricultural College at Fort Collins, Colorado. Nice addition to an agriculture collection View more info

What a cute little souvenir from Estes Park, Colorado. I had one before years ago and was amazed that it came unwrapped with just a hang-tag for the address and the postage. This one's exactly the same with the same three cent stamp. The doll was glued to a piece of cardboard to resemble a Native American cradle board. Together doll and board measure approximately 4", as does the tag. One side of the tag says From Estes Park, Colorado and the other side bears an address to someone at Lodi Hospital in Lodi, Ohio. There's a postmark, but I had to get a magnifier to read the date which is 1948. V... View more info

Love this one! A full color view of an early tourist ride in Manitou Springs, Colorado. The "incline car", as they called it, was built in 1907 to support the construction of a hydroelectric plant and its waterline. When that was done a Dr. Brumbach bought it as a tourist attraction. It was a steep 16 minute ride through the glories of the Colorado mountains. Sadly, it had to be abandoned after a rock slide in 1990. The card is clean and nice, but does show tiny spote of light edge wear and a small chip from the tip of the lower corner. The divided back has this message, "I am still in Colorad... View more info

Very handsome booklet which appears unread. Were it not for a small abrasion and a small bit of discoloration at upper front corner, both from an old price sticker, it would be as new. It measures 5-1/2"x8-1/2" and has 84 pristine pages, many of which are illustrated with historical photographs and facsimile documents. An interesting history of a grand hotel and the town around it. The book is clean and tightly bound and measures 7"x10" with 111 pages. Only fault is a small abrasion to upper front corner of cover. The author explores Faulkner's presentation of Black characters in his work by showing how he followed a moral compass. View more info

Except for a bit of wear to edges at front cover this booklet is in very clean and tightly bound condition. The reason it's showing wear is the yapped edges which create an overhang which protects the pages, but very often develops wear itself. This one has not been trimmed. The booklet includes 16 black and white plates. Focus is on the Lindenmeir site and its archaeological treasures -- points, scrapers, bevel-edge tools, gravers, knives, blades and choppers, miscellaneous objects, and the identification of bones. Booklet measures 6-1/2" x 9-1/2" with 35 pages of text plus plates. View more info

Lots of photos and a lively text make this one an enjoyable read. It's in pristine condition inside and out with just a few very tiny dots at upper front corner of cover. Booklet tells the story of Henry McAllister, a pioneer who came to Colorado Springs after the Civil War with General William Palmer who had been named director of the Colorado Springs Company. McAllister put his shoulder to the wheel and helped Palmer develop an idyllic community at the foot of Pike's Peak. McAllister House, a Gothic-style cottage, was one of the first homes there. I buy very few brand new things and this was no exception. It was published in 1999 which doesn't make it new, but somehow the buyer never took the shrink wrap off which has kept it from looking new. Ouray, Gem of the Rockies, was a boom and bust mining town in Colorado. Silver made Ouray rich until the Silver Crash of 1893. But gold kept the town from becoming a ghost town. There's more to this history, but I wanted to keep the booket pristine, so I will leave it to the buyer to open it. The booklet measures 5-1/2" x 8-1/2". View more info
