This is such a fun find. I've had the sesquicentennial book a couple times, but I've never seen the cloth banner. Yet here they are together from the same previous owner. The banner is quite large at 27"x36" and is printed on one side. There is a small section at the lower right corner where the thread seems a little dirty on the hem, but otherwise it's crisp and clean. The program shows a little wear, but not much, and has no names or writing. Inside there is a laid-in certificate with no name filled in for the Cuyahoga Falls Area Jubilee Belles. The program measures 8-1/2"x11" and is filled ... View more info

Dainty Dishes The Church of Christ Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio Building Fund Cookbook

Very clean and tightly bound cookbook published to raise money for the church's building fund. There is no date for it, so I tried to do a little sleuthing, but the only church with that precise name was building in the 1960's and this booklet precedes that by decades. I then tried looking up the businesses which supplied ads, but again, not much luck. The only company that appeared was the C.H. Yeager Company which came to Akron in 1906 and changed its name to Yeager Company in 1946. The ad shows the old name, so again, it's clearly before 1946. Judging by the lack of digits in the phone num... View more info

Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio does love a party, so every 25 years they throw one. This one from 1987 celebrates the town's Supersextus Sesquicentennial. Can't say I have ever run across a Suspersextus Sesquicetennial, but here it is. The book is hard cover with a dark blue pebbled cover decorated with gilt at face. Inside are numerous black and white photographs printed on quality coated paper and a full color section at the back showing residents having fun at the event. The text tells some history and also highlights the town's attributes. Measures 9"x11-1/4" and has 138 pages. View more info

I just bought this last week in Cuyahoga Falls, so needless to say, I picked up a couple items from the Falls. This is one of them, a hard cover history of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ which tells the story of its life from 1834 to 1984. The book measures 5-3/4" x 8-3/4" and has 141 pages. The text consists of several chapters and at the back of the book shows an album of black and white photos. View more info
