I've never had a report card as early as this one from 1912. On the front cover is a short poem which reads as follows: "The Public School! Oh,let its light, Shine through our Country's story! Here lies her wealth, her strength, her might! Here rests her future glory." The card was for a fourth grader named Pearl Malone who did pretty well overall and was promoted to grade five. The school is in Greenville, Ohio and the teacher was Arline Smith. The card, which has a few pages, was signed repeatedly by John Malone. It measures 4-3/4" x 7-1/4". View more info

It was a beautiful morning at Brewsters Grove on August 15, 1909. Adults and their children arrived for a social all dressed up in Sunday best. The information I have comes from the writing on the tree in the upper left corner. I don't know where Brewsters Grove is, but there IS a Brewster, Ohio in Stark County. Card is clean and without writing. Will arrive in a brand new plastic sleeve. View more info

The first sction is all about people known far from Ohio and others who stayed and make Stark County proud. he ones that jumped out to be were the actress, Lillian Gish, Mother Angelica who had her own TV show, Ida and President William McKinley, and Ralph Regula. This calendar is very handsome with lareg black and white photographs from various areas of the Cleveland area. The calendar shows no writing and pages are completely inside the spiral. Another good thing is that it can be used on the desk, or hung wide open to hang on the wall. The images are these: the Victorian house at 235 East WAshington St. in Chagrin Falls; a Gothic Revival cobblestone house on Rte. 82 east of Aurora; John Stark Edward house (1907) in Warren, Trumbull County; "College Hall", Lake Erie college (1959) in Painesville, Lake Co.; the Memorial Day Parade in Chagrin Falls; "La...
